Videos have great impact on the mind of the viewers. Commercial video
production takes into account a lot of aspects as they are to be viewed publicly.
Like reality shows makes people talk about moral and values attached to a
television program which it normally breaks with no effort. Although these
shows are called reality shows but there link with the reality is very limited.
These shows can be categorized as reality shows on the basis that they perform
or act without any script but it has nothing to do with real life. Just like
any movie, flick or drama these shows also involve dramatic and exaggerated
scenes and acts. The video productions of this type make us believe what’s not
even true.
If reality shows portray real life events it would be beneficial for
viewers. Portrayal of real life events in these reality shows would enable the
viewers to gain a handful of information and experience from these shows. On
the contrary, illogical and irrational events and acts have no linkage with
real life would not be of any use for the viewers. Reality television shows are
detrimental to society because they influence bad behaviour among teenagers.
These programs often show young individuals that break the law, drink alcohol,
are disrespectful to people around them, and are in bad situations. Many young
viewers are influenced by these individuals who take part in reality shows and
look up to them.
Some video production individuals are such big fans of the stars in
some of these shows that they mimic them. The popular saying "monkey see,
monkey do" definitely applies to this controversy. These shows make it
seem as if everyone is acting in the way that the characters in the show act.
Instead of providing viewers with encouragement to pursue a better education
and to act responsibly, many of these programs portray actors to act
irresponsibly. Some experts believe that this could lead to many more
irresponsible individuals. America's society is weakened because of the harmful
effects these reality television programs have on teenagers.
